You know how people say don't stick things in your ears? 
They are right! And I should have listened. I stuck a q-tip too far into my ear an I ruptured my ear drum. Pretty gnarly right? I do not recommend this, especially if you are blood thinners like me because that means...well you can figure it out.
Anyways, I have this obession with having clean ears, like how gross is a dirty ear? So I clean them regularly. When I went to the doctor he did tell me that the other ear was very clean, so that was nice to hear. Although at the time I did not hear it clearly.
I'm glad to report that I am fully recovered and I will no longer be using q-tips.
