Winchester, Virgina

Our friends Ryan & Sarah were nice enough to let us stay with them. Tyler & Ryan made "the plan" so I did not really know to expect...since there was no plan. I mean two men making a plan is never a good idea. Everything ended up working out though. They lived in an awesome house on a lake. We thought they lived in an apartment, so it was a fun surprise for us.
The first day we were there the weather was really nice. We thought we would take advantage of the sun and play outside. We took a walk around the neighborhood and played on the dock. Their neighborhood is awesome, it used to be a golf course so there were tons of open green fields. The grass was all over grown with wild flowers. It was so pretty!
It had been stormy the week before we were there so the lake water was really brown. It looked like a swamp, but normally it is clear.

Look I dyed my hair redish.

There was a swing hanging off the tree and Tyler was all about it. He was determined to reach it. I had a great time watching him almost fall into the freezing water. He did successfully get the swing and was pretty proud of himself.

Although, once he got it he was not sure what to do. He really wanted to swing in but it was way cold.


I'm glad to say that I fished for the first time ever. I even have pictures to prove it.

It was crazy after like one minute I catch a fish. And Tyler got a great shot of me pulling her in. Yes, apparently this hypothetical fish was a girl fish. And it latched on to the bare hook. Weird?

Tyler was so proud.
