The vinyl fence on the side of the house had a little damage. You can kinda see all the crap on the lawn. There were hundreds of roof shingles blowing around along with trash and branches.
So we had no power when we woke up on Thurs. I got ready for work and when I went to leave Ty's parents wouldn't let me drive to work alone because the winds were so strong. I got Ty up to come with me to the office and boy was I glad. The freeway and roads were crazy. Semi's were tiped over from the winds! We got to the office to find that our power was out there too.
We were able to forward our phone calls to our cells and somewhat work. Most of our customers live in Davis county so we knew we were in a very busy day. After Thurs and Friday we think we have submitted over 60 property claims. It was not a very fun day to be an insurance agent.
We were hoping things would calm down this week since we are heading out of town, but knowing our luck that wouldn't happen. It snowed a little over the weekend...meaning all those people with roof damage can now have water leaking in their homes. More claims. And now we are hearing that another wind storm is coming tonight.
Our trip to Cali this week is very well deserved after this is over.
