24th of July

We had a really fun 24th this year. I totally slacked in the picture department though. We started the day off at the city parade with Teri and her kids. It was hot but totally worth it. Ivy kept trying to walk in the parade she thought it was pretty awesome and she really enjoyed the few horses that walked by. The few "floats" that were in the parade were primary's from local wards. The stake presidency all drove in an old car and waved. It was awesome! A bunch of young men were dressed as the stripling warriors and sang. And all the St. George missionaries walked. I loved it! Only in Utah!!!

Ty found out there was the Horse Shoe World Championship going on in St. George and he thought it was the coolest thing. Turns out my friend Teri grandparents were competing in it! Ty was so excited he could not contain himself! We had to go cheer them on. Teris grandpa taught Ty how the scoring worked before his turn and we got to watch him play. It was pretty neat! Ivy and Spencer were running around and going crazy so we couldn't stay too long.

After the horse shoe comp we had a bbq at our house. Yummy food and great company. All the kids played so well together and it was fun for the adults to hang. We headed over the Bergersen's after we ate to do fireworks. We kept the kids up for the show and everything. Ty and Brooks set the fireworks off and had probably too much fun. The kids didn't really love the fireworks but it was still fun to have them up with us.
We thought it would be fun to write a word with our sparklers. We are retarded and stood right under the street light. I have a ton of pictures like this and they seriously crack me up. We are not the brightest bunch but we sure can party.
