Look who's four months already!
It has been a big month for Gwen. At her check up she was 13 pounds and 24 inches long.
Gwen is getting so big. It is kind of bitter sweet. She is losing her newborn- ness, such as, her cry is getting stronger and one of my all time favorite things is how newborns body's curl up. I love getting Gwen out of the car seat because her legs are all curled and she stretches her arms out. Seriously that's the best and she is getting so big that she doesn't do it as much. But at the same time she is more interactive and we all love that. She is sitting in her bumbo chair, which Ivy calls it HER bum bum chair. Everything is Ivys around here, luckily she shares with us. Sweet little Gwen is also playing in her sauser activity thing. She loves it and so does Ivy. They take turns in it.
Gwen has been getting on a different schedule these past few weeks. She is more awake in the day, which makes things a little more difficult. But she's always so good and such a trooper. Don't get me wrong, she still sleeps a lot! And she is going to sleep at night a little earlier usually around 10 or 11 she is down. And she will wake up once in the night, sometimes twice if she went down earlier in the night. Gwen is more and more vocal everyday. She loves to use her voice and tell us all sorts of things. She is also getting her own opinions, like she wants us to walk around instead of us sitting with her, or she wants to sit up and not lay down. She is not afraid to let us know what she wants.
Gwen still loves sucking her fingers. She is a little too excited about it and usually ends up gagging herself. She is still a fan of the bath and of course she always loves watching her big sister. She is also aware of where everyone is. If we walk away from her she will cry for us to come back. So cute! Our sweet girl has also rolled over a few times this month! Little Gwen is still sleeping in her rock n sleep in our room. She will soon be too big for it and need to be transitioned to the crib. Ivy is still in the crib and I haven't been ready to take on that challenge. But we are getting real close. I'm sure Gwen will do great in the crib once we make the change. I love rocking her to sleep or nursing her to sleep and I know she loves it to. Dad can always get her to go to sleep too, it really is sweet. We all can not believe how fast Gwen is growing up. She is such a sweetheart and so lovable!

What a cutie! Getting so big. I love how newborns get all curled up too. Love that we have Gwen to love on. Love to see Spencer be so sweet with her.
