For Sami's birthday we were so sneaky and we totally surprised her. Sheri came in from Cali and we drove up to Salt Lake. My mom took Sami out to a birthday dinner without the kids or her husbands. She was so funny, she was telling my mom how jealous Sheri and I were that she was hanging out with just mom, kid free, to eat and shop. Haha and then we showed up at the restaurant! Totally awesome, such a great surprise. We had a hotel downtown and stole her for the night and next day.
We stayed at the Little America, such a cute little hotel. We went to the hot tub and just relaxed, us girls and Gwen too. It was so fun just visiting, talking and laughing.
In the morning we got smoothies from Jamba, my favorite! And got donuts. Yum. Then we headed to our hair appointment. We went to a blow dry bar. It was so fun. You get your hair washed and styled. The place was adorable and we were the only ones there for the majority of the time. I'm so glad we did it!
After our hair was done and we were looking beautiful we headed to city creek for some shopping. How great is it shopping with no kids, minus Gwen. She is such a sweetie, we loved having her with us. We were all loving that we could try stuff on! At one point all three of us were in the fitting room together.
We had lunch and went over to temple square to take some pictures and look at the tulips. It was so pretty and such a nice day.
Such a fun day with my mom and sisters. We are already talking about doing it next year for Sheri's 30th.
Spending time with your sisters and mom is seriously the best!
As a side note... It was my first night away from Ivy! I know hard to believe she is 2 years old and I have never left her overnight. She did awesome. She had dad, grandma and grandpa. Her cousins were also around. So basically she didn't even miss me until the last few hours. She was such a big girl and so was I! Haha.
