Blue Angels

Over the weekend the Blue Angels were in town. It was a special birthday treat for me. The airport is just over the hill really close to our house. It made for a really fun weekend. We got to watch the planes practice on Thursday and Friday and see the shows on Saturday and Sunday. We all loved it! It was pretty loud, really fun but nice to see them go by the end of Sunday.

Our house is seriously in the best spot to watch the show so we invited some friends over to watch on Saturday and BBQ for my birthday, the big 2-6! We had a great time hanging in the front yard watching the show. (We did the BBQ in the backyard...we are not that white trash!)

It was fun getting pictures of the planes as they zoomed by.

 After church on Sunday we let Ivy skip her nap since the show was going. Her and Gwen were so precious sitting together on the blanket. It really was awesome seeing the jets so close. They were flying so low and fast right over our house. I was surprised that it didn't scare the kids. They actually really enjoyed it.

 

Ty was watering the grass as we were outside so of course Ivy discovered the hose and ended up completely soaked.
