Fourth of July

We love the fourth of July! We always love celebrating up north with the family. This year we thought we were going to stay home and experience a St. George fourth of July. As it got closer I really just didn't want to miss out on the family fun and it was suppose to be like 110 at home so we made the trip up. I'm so glad we went even through the hiccups...Ivy got sick and threw up a few times, then I got sick and to top it all off my wallet got stolen from the car. Other than that everything was perfect!

It is so fun to see Ivy interact with her cousins now that she is getting older. I love their conversations and their instant bond even when they've been apart for awhile.
We got to see the Hunt's for a little bit before we headed up to Brigham. It is so hard getting a picture of a group of kids. My attempt at both sides of the family was a fail.

Once we got to Brigham the morning of the fourth we headed to the Honeyville parade. Seriously, what a perfect parade. Its short, they throw a ton of candy for the kids, there was a tie dyed horse and a family band. What more can you ask for? We all enjoyed it. Ivy is still talking about all the candy they threw at us.

As I walked in my parents house I saw Sheri and we were wearing the exact same shirt. Great minds think alike. The best part is that it wasn't even a red or blue shirt. It has a gray flag on it, so it's kind of fourth of Julyish. Then at the parade we put our sun glasses on and we had the same pair. It was awesome. Twinners!
Ivy loves her grandma. She is little possessive. But it is sweet. She was "braiding" grandma's hair.
My failed attempt at a cousin picture. Total fail!
After the parade we just hung out at the house. We watched the world cup games and the kids rested. We also played in the water outside. Slip n slide, pools, sprinklers, water guns...the works!
Then we had the big BBQ with the crazy neighbors (my aunt) followed by our own firework show and then the city's production. The Brigham City fireworks never disappoint. Ivy even stayed awake this year. She did sparklers and thought it was awesome. She was so brave and she loved the big fireworks. She looked up at them and said, "Wow, it's beautiful." I kept not watching the fireworks because I was just watching Ivy look at them. Too precious!
