Camping

Our friends the Skillings have been trying to get us to go camping with them. We are not really campers, mainly because we don't own any camping stuff. We decided it was time to give it a try with the kids. So we borrowed a tent from some friends and we headed up to Pine Valley. It's only 30 minutes away and I had never been there before. The camp ground ended up being full and both the kids fell asleep in the car so we were afraid the whole experience was going to be a bust. York came through and found a perfect spot to camp just above the camp ground.

The boys got us all set up while we watched the kids explore and sit around the fire. Caitlin brought glow sticks for the kids and they all loved it.

Although we were not the best prepared campers we did pretty good. The kids slept pretty good. Gwen woke up when we came to bed and I ended up sleeping with her on me basically, which really worked out since it was so cold. We kept each other warm and Ivy had most the blankets. And Tyler froze all night.

The Skilling love to camp and were really excited to show us a good time. We all had a ton of fun and we will be going again soon.
