Another Halloween has come and gone. Time sure passes by fast when you are busy.
Ivy asked to be Elsa a month or so before Halloween and that was right around the time Gwen started saying Anna. So we figured we had to let them be Anna and Elsa. They LOVE Frozen...still. It's like the never ending obsession. Oh well! They were happy and adorable, that's all that matters.
Ivy got to dress up for joy school the week of Halloween. She loved having a little party with her friends all dressed in their costumes. Gwen wore her costume at home the whole time Ivy was gone.
And then that night we had our ward party. They did a Halloween carnival and it was really cute and the kids loved it.
Since Halloween fell on a Saturday it was fun to spend the day with dad. I pretty well found all the free things to do and we did a majority of them.
The girls got all dressed up and we took some pictures and then headed out for some fun.
We went to McDonalds and got discounted happy meals for the girls being in costume. We let them play for as long as they wanted afterwards. Then we went to Sweet Tooth Fairy for free cupcakes. Just we want on Halloween, more sugar.
Ivy freezing me...I mean Elsa.
We headed home for Gwen to nap so she would enjoy trick or treating. Once she woke up we went to the party at the club house that our association put on. There was dinner and games and a craft. The girls ran around with some friends and ate lots of candy. Then after that finally came the trick or treating. We ended up going with another family from the ward and it was so much fun. They have older kids so Ivy loved trying to keep up with them and Ty and I took turns helping Gwen to the doors. After a few streets they were tired and ready to go home to pour all their candy out.
It was a successful Halloween. Ivy is already asking when next Halloween is.
