Life in George

We have been in St. George for a few weeks now. How are we liking it, you may ask....?
Ivy's face sums it up for us.
We love it!
I can not get over our house. I have a house! And it is beautiful and clean and new and awesome. Everyday I find a new thing that I love about our home. Having a garage is an incrediable thing, let alone a three car garage! I love our wall texture. It makes the walls look fancy. We have an awesome shower. (I need to post pics, because we can have a party in this shower.) I love our high ceilings and ceiling fans. The island with the kitchen sink is genius, I love watching tv and Ivy play while doing the dishes. But I really appreciate the small things. One of my favorite things is the small cupboard in the kitchen for cookie sheets, it is the best!
Anyway, I can go on and on. But not only are we in love with our house but we really like the area. We are still trying to get a feel for things but so far it has been great. We are located pretty close to all the shopping, but not too close. It is like you get the best of both worlds because there is farmland in front of our house and to the east. So you get the wide open feel but then to the other directions there are homes. So we aren't in the middle of nowhere but we still have some open space. Our neighborhood is great. I joined neighborhood watch. It seems like there is a good mix of people. Young families, more established families and retired folks. Our street has about eight lots. Our home and one other is completed and has families living in them. All lots have sold except our one and only neighbor. Apparently no one wants to live by us. We went to our ward for the first time yesterday and it is huge. There are over 700 members and growing. Just yesterday five families were read in. So with all those people we are bound to find some great friends. I am so excited to get out there and meet everyone.
So we are still trying to get settled but things are coming along. We still need lots of things, but we are a work in progress. We are excited for the things ahead!
