Tyler's 30 Birthday

Wow! I can not believe I pulled this off....

I planned a surprise birthday for Tyler! It was a success and pretty awesome.

Some history on the Stanton's.... Tyler and his mom share their birthday and the day before their birthday is the twins birthday (Ty's brother and sister). So that means 4 birthday is 2 days. It has always been this way so Tyler doesn't think much of it.

But I really wanted to do something for just Tyler on his birthday. I guess it is kinda selfish for me to want the celebration to be all about Tyler...but what can I say? It was his 30th birthday.

Tyler had no idea I was planning anything, which make it so much fun. We told him to celebrate all the birthdays we were going to dinner. All the family went to Texas Road House to eat and celebrate. After dinner Tyler thought we were going to the house for cake. Tyler on the saddle at Texas Road House. But we didn't go back to the house. I asked Ty if I could drive us home, which is weird because I never drive. Tyler thought nothing of it though. I told Ty that I felt bad that we didn't do anything special for his birthday, so I planned a few surprises for him. I put a blindfold on him and started driving around. There was really no plan at this point, I had about 45 minutes to kill. I told Ty that the weather kinda messed up our plan but we would still go do our adventure. I took him to the park for a romantic walk. He loved it! It was great. So we walked around until it was time for the party. When we got back in car I told him I had one more thing planned and he asked if he should put the blindfold on. I said, "ya why not?" Haha! We pulled up at Classic and I walked him in while he was blindfolded. As soon as we got inside I ripped the blindfold off and everyone yelled "Surprise" and we sang happy birthday. It was so much fun!!!! At the party we roller skated, played laser tag, and ate treats. It was awesome to walk in and see everyone in skates, including my parents and in-laws. I didn't get any pictures of that and I'm totally bummed. Some of our nieces and nephews were there and they even got little skates and played with all of us. Tyler was too funny while he skated, he was dancing and loving his life. We all knew someone would fall down and get hurt. And of course it was my dad. He was "trying to show off" and fell on his head. Don't worry he was okay. My mom and sister helped with dessert. My mom even made individual peach cheese cakes. Tyler was in heaven! Sami and Tys came to the party without the kids and they really enjoyed that. Tyson told me I can plan his 30th birthday. Us with Jenny and Andy. Andy rented roller blades and he was loving skating with Ty.

Tyler with Kilby. It was such fun having Megan and Kilby there. He was the champ at laser tag.

I asked Tyler during the party if he had an idea where I was taking him. He thought I was taking him to a car dealership to pick up a new car! Haha this just cracks me up! He said he was getting nervous during the drive because he wasn't sure if that would be a great idea. You gotta love him for thinking so big.

But in the end he was happy with a surprise party. We can get that new car later.

We had so much fun at Classic! Thanks everyone for coming. You made Tyler's day great!

Happy Birthday Tyler! Love you!!

That sounds like so much fun! We love Classic! I wish we lived closer so that we could have come. :(
